Your Guide to the Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) Recertification Process
While COVID delayed the annual Medicaid certification for two years, Alabama has begun recertification for Medicaid as of April 1, 2023.
Here is what you need to know:
- You may lose your current benefits if you do not take this important step by your deadline.
- Be on the lookout for a letter from Alabama Medicaid with the words “Important Information About Your Medicaid!” at the top of the letter and is signed by the Commissioner, asking you to recertify your benefits within the next 90 days. You must return the recertification form to them by the deadline, along with your current contact information.
- Do not believe anyone is calling you requesting money to assist you with your certification; this is a well-known scam in our area. If you receive a call requesting money, please notify Alabama Medicaid at (866) 452-4930
Please contact your Complete Health Member Service Representative (MSR) to support you through recertification. Your MSRs' phone number can be found below.
