Minnie Christian is a Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011. She began practicing in 2014 and has since obtained her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner-BC.
Minnie has experience in various healthcare settings, including primary, chronic, acute, and urgent care. Before joining Complete Health, she served the Birmingham community for three years. Additionally, Minnie has five years of experience in Chico, California, where she worked in similar healthcare settings. She also provided healthcare at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Weight Loss Medicine.
Minnie is passionate about ensuring safety and quality in every aspect of care. She emphasizes the importance of evidence-based practices to achieve effective medical treatment and management for diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol disorders, and thyroid disorders. Her dedication extends to reaching patients from all cultural backgrounds, focusing on early intervention for disease prevention, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and weight loss goals.
Minnie’s journey into healthcare was inspired by her experience as a caregiver for her mother. This personal connection drives her commitment to educating patients about their medical needs and involving them and their families in their healthcare journeys. She believes in being a great listener and encourages lifestyle modifications for overall health improvement.
In her free time, Minnie enjoys volunteering at local churches and schools, educating the community on safety measures such as CPR. She also loves taking beach trips for relaxation and enjoys walking while appreciating the beauty of nature.
