Dr. G. Fredrick Herdel, MD

G. Fredrick Herdel, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has been caring for patients in the New Smyrna community for more than two decades. He earned his medical degree from Ross University and began practicing medicine in 2000.

Dr. Herdel is passionate about caring for the whole patient, taking the time to understand each individual’s health needs, goals, and life circumstances. His approach to medicine is rooted in building long-term relationships and providing thoughtful, comprehensive care that helps patients feel supported and confident in their health decisions.

He chose a career in healthcare to help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives—a purpose that continues to guide his work every day.

Outside of the office, Dr. Herdel enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, and traveling. A fun personal note: he’s a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan—Go Birds!
