Dr. K. Robert Stringer is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and began practicing in 1977. Before joining Complete Health, Dr. Stringer founded James River Internists, where he provided care to the community for several decades.
With a deep commitment to his patients, Dr. Stringer is especially passionate about managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, weight control, and mood disorders. He values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while staying current in an ever-evolving field of medicine. His approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a lifelong desire to help others.
Early in his career, Dr. Stringer served as a medical missionary in Japan, an experience that helped shape his inclusive and patient-centered philosophy of care. In addition to speaking English, he has a smattering of Spanish and Japanese, which helps him connect with a diverse patient population.
Outside the office, Dr. Stringer enjoys traveling, boating, attending the theater, and working on model railroads.
