Yanelis Leyva, FNP-BC, has been a family nurse practitioner since 2012. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Florida International University and continues to be board-certified in Family Practice from ANCC. She practiced as a critical care registered nurse in Miami, FL, for many years before advancing her studies and specializing in Family Practice.

She says that the best part of her job is making a difference in the lives of her patients through health care and condition management. She is Cuban-American and bilingual in English and Spanish, with some basic knowledge of French.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in her spare time. Together, they love to travel and spend time at the beach.
