Christian Long is a seasoned healthcare executive with over two decades of experience in the Medicare payer and healthcare consulting sectors. He began his career in operations roles with hospital-based physician groups before transitioning to the payer side, where he led provider contracting and value-based care initiatives at major health plans including Humana, Wellcare, and AvMed. Christian later served as a senior consultant at Evolent Health and Optum Insight, two leading healthcare consulting firms. In these roles, he advised health systems and payer clients on Medicare Advantage risk strategy and health plan implementation. Currently, Christian is part of the founding leadership team at Complete Health, helping grow the organization from a single-practice group in 2019 to a leading regional primary care network across Florida, Alabama, Virginia, and Colorado. He holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida and brings deep expertise in Medicare value-based care strategy, ACO management, contract development, and complex reimbursement models. Outside of work, Christian enjoys tackling tedious repairs on vintage German cars—a testament to his patience and precision. Interestingly, Christian’s path to healthcare began unexpectedly while he was casually exploring roles in casualty insurance underwriting—proof that sometimes, the right career finds you.
