Palliative Care

Serious illness is hard enough. Getting care shouldn’t be.

Treating a serious illness is hard work. We provide an extra layer of support focused purely on your comfort and quality of life while you do it.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. Unlike standard care, we bring healthcare to you. Our goal is to improve your quality of life by managing your symptoms and medical needs right in your own home (or in our office), keeping you comfortable and out of the hospital.

Where does this care take place?

We meet you where you are most comfortable. While many patients love the convenience of our home visits, you always have the option to come into the office if you prefer. If you choose home visits, a Complete Health nurse practitioner or one of our trusted palliative care partners will come to you to handle your medical needs, including checking your vitals, drawing labs, and managing your medications.

Is Palliative Care the same as Hospice?

No. This is a very common confusion. Hospice is specifically for the end of life when curative treatment has stopped. Palliative care is a landing place for patients who aren’t ready for hospice but need more support than a standard doctor’s visit can offer. You can receive palliative care while you are still seeking treatment for your illness.

What kind of support will I get?

Our goal is to make your healthcare as easy as possible. The team focuses on:

  • Home Visits: Medical appointments in the comfort of your living room.
  • Symptom Relief: Managing pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, or nausea.
  • Practical Care: Handling medication management and lab draws at home.
  • Guidance: Helping you and your family navigate difficult medical decisions.
