Same-Day Sick Visits

Because when you’re sick, “next Tuesday” doesn’t help you today.

Sick days are bad enough without the wait. We reserve spots on the schedule every day so you can see your own team when you need them the most.

What is a same-day sick appointment?

A same-day sick appointment is a visit reserved for our established patients who are experiencing a new, nonemergency illness or symptom and need to be seen quickly.

How are you able to offer same-day appointments?

We intentionally keep a certain number of appointment slots open on our schedule each day. These spots are reserved for patients who call in with acute needs, ensuring we have the flexibility to see you when you need it most.

What kinds of illnesses are these appointments for?

These appointments are best for acute, non-life-threatening conditions. Common reasons include:

  • Colds, coughs and flu-like symptoms.
  • Sore throats or earaches.
  • Rashes or skin irritations.
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Am I guaranteed to get an appointment on the same day?

We do our very best to accommodate requests for same- day sick visits. We recommend calling as early in the day as possible, as these reserved appointments can fill up. If we cannot see you that day in the clinic, we have telehealth, urgent care, and walk-in clinic locations throughout the community. Available services vary by location.

Will I see my own primary care doctor?

We always try to schedule you with your own doctor. If they are not available, you may be seen by another trusted provider on our care team, such as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, who will have access to your medical history.

How do I schedule a same-day sick appointment?

Simply call our clinic as soon as you feel you need to be seen. Our scheduling team will ask about your symptoms to ensure a same-day visit is appropriate and will find the best available time for you.

What should I do if my illness is an emergency?

Same-day appointments are not for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening condition, such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath or signs of a stroke, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
