Desiree Washburn, ACNP, PNP, DNP, earned her degrees at the University of Alabama. Desiree is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society, and the National Deans List. She is passionate about providing care to rural communities like Cullman and wants to impact the community positively through her care.

Before joining Complete Health, Desiree spent most of her career in emergency medicine in Alabama and did some travel nursing in Wyoming, Louisana, and Texas. She spent twelve years in the ER and three in the urgent care setting. Most recently, Desiree has worked with chronic lung conditions and sleep apnea at a Pulmonology and sleep clinic.

Desiree strives to treat patients with efficiency, effectiveness, and great care when working with them. She is particularly interested in geriatrics, pediatrics, fracture care, wound closure, sutures, and disease education.

When not caring for patients, Desiree attends sporting events to support her children or her favorite college football, MLB, and NFL teams. She spends most of her time outdoors gardening, working around the farm, or riding ATVs with her family. You may also find her listening to her favorite bands, Aerosmith & Dave Matthews Band.
